Spider-Man: Brand New Day has made a spectacular debut, securing one of the largest opening weekends in cinema history with an estimated $927 million earned worldwide within its first four days. The Marvel film, led by Tom Holland, now ranks as having the second-highest global debut ever, coming in just behind Avengers: Endgame, which launched with $1.2 billion in 2019. In North America, the film garnered $355 million over the weekend, just shy of Avengers: Endgame’s domestic record of $357.1 million.

Internationally, Spider-Man: Brand New Day amassed $572 million from 66 markets, with China contributing the largest share of $121 million. The United Kingdom followed with $49 million, while Mexico and South Korea added $38.3 million and $25 million, respectively. The film set opening weekend records in several countries, with India achieving its largest-ever Hollywood opening at $31.8 million. France, Brazil, and Spain also saw significant earnings of $26.6 million, $23.8 million, and $15.6 million, respectively.

This latest installment of Spider-Man has comfortably outperformed its predecessors at the box office. It surpassed the opening revenues of both Spider-Man: No Way Home, which made $600 million globally, and Avengers: Infinity War, which started with $640 million worldwide. The film’s remarkable financial success highlights the enduring popularity of the Spider-Man franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The plot follows Peter Parker as he attempts to rebuild his life after the world forgets his identity. Along the way, he faces a mysterious new threat and receives help from some unexpected allies. The film features an ensemble cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo.
