Detox and Rebalance: Teas to Reset Your Hormones

Date:

The concept of “detox” is often misunderstood, but in the context of PCOS, it means supporting the body’s natural elimination pathways to clear excess hormones. Nutritionists suggest using herbal teas to help the body “reset” and rebalance its hormonal load.
These teas support the liver and kidneys, the body’s primary detox organs. They help clear out old hormones and inflammatory byproducts, allowing for a fresh start.
Spearmint tea reduces the input of “bad” hormones. By lowering testosterone production, it lightens the load on the body’s detox systems, allowing them to catch up and rebalance the ratio of estrogen and progesterone.
Kalonji tea aids the detox process by reducing inflammation. An inflamed liver cannot detox effectively. Kalonji soothes the liver, enhancing its ability to metabolize hormones and toxins.
Ajwain tea aids digestion, a key part of detoxification. By preventing constipation and bloating, it ensures that waste products are eliminated efficiently, preventing the reabsorption of unwanted hormones.
